Ruth Isabelle Bemis Banks was born on March 2, 1925 in Brockton, Massachusetts and resided in West Bridgewater where she graduated high school. She is survived by her loving family; husband of 57 years, Glenn Banks; children, Marcia Jakubowicz and her husband, Peter of Lancaster, Massachusetts, Brad Banks and wife, Kate Dunn of Gulfport, Florida, and Lisa Crimella and . husband, John of Largo, Florida. She also has four grandchildren, Aime Jakubowicz Sund and husband, Bernhard,Eric Jakubowicz and wife, Julie, John Crimella and wife, Jessica, and James Crimella and wife, Michele. Ruth attended nursing school at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts and attained her R.N. and later received her Bachelors Degree from Boston University. Most of her nursing career was at the V.A hospital, first in Brockton, Massachusetts and later at Bay Pines in Pinellas County, Florida. Ruth moved with her family to Florida in 1973. Her last few months were at The Masonic Home of Florida where she lived with her beloved husband, Glenn. Ruth loved her family very much. She enjoyed family gatherings, traveling and playing all kinds of games. She was an avid reader and loved to knit. She found relaxation with working on crossword puzzles and games on the computer. Ruth loved to shop for antiques. She was an enthusiastic member of the Eastern Star. Ruth Banks was a wonderful wife and mother always giving of her love and support. Ruth died on February 17, 2015. A graveside celebration of life will be held on Sunday June 28, 2015 at 11am in South Easton Cemetery in Easton.
